Dawgs Topple Yarmouth-Dennis  To Advance to NE Championship
Linebacker-Guard Nathan Verry had two interceptions and  a fumble recovery for a touchdown to lead the Beverly Pop Warner B-Team past Yarmouth-Dennis 18-6 in the New England Junior Midget semifinals Sunday in Braintree.  The Bad Dawgs will meet Seymour Connecticut for the New England title on Friday at 2:00 at Coventry RI High School.
J Michael Nardella (4-yard run), and David Jones (30-yarder) scored the other Beverly touchdowns.
Nardella also had an interception, while Andrew Frates had a big game on defense for the Dawgs.  The game also
marked the return of Dylan Kline who had been sidelined after breaking his collarbone early in the season.  Unfortunately, just as Kline returned, the Dawgs suffered another injury as Pat Bailey pulled a hamstring and is
doubtful for Friday's championship game.
Head Coach Mike Nardella is expected to be OK for Friday's tilt.  Nardella, who is unable to sleep the night before games, was too exhausted to drive after the victory.

Nathan Verry had a huge game Sunday to help
the B-Dawgs topple Yarmouth-Dennis and
advance to the New England Championship.
