B-Team Cruises Again, 32-6 - Pat Bailey Beverly came to its second game of the year (first at Hurd stadium) looking a little flat. But once the team took the field they were ready to play. Beverly won the toss and received the kick. The first play of the game was a 35 crossbuck to pat Bailey for a first down. Beverly then had a long drive, ending up in the N- zone. The extra point by Jared kuziak was inches left. SCORE Beverly 6- saugus 0. Saugus then got the ball and was stopped dead, forcing them to punt. Beverly again drove down to about the 5 and JP Kehoe scored on a 42 crossbuck. The second extra point attempt by Jared was good. SCORE Beverly14- Saugus 0. When Saugus got the ball they had a nice drive but was stopped by the first of 4 interceptions by Bailey (2), J. Micheal, and Jared. After that David jones had a 30 yard run and used an excellent stiff arm to come just shy of a TD. In the next fe! w plays Jeff Jones scored sending Beverly into the half with a 20-0 lead. After the half Beverly kicked off. The Beverly D stopped Saugus yet again and during Bev's next possesion David Jones scored and Beverly led 26-0. Saugus lost the ball again and Jeff Jones found the N zone yet again. Saugus got the ball and had a nice drive down the field. They scored and Beverlys shut out season dream was over. After the Saugus TD the game was ova. But.... JP Kehoe was injured during the game and his status is not known. NEXT GAME- 12:00 next Sunday at hurd vs. the mighty swampsott team.
