2001 B-Team Opens With Win Over West Lynn

B-Team Cruises Again, 32-6

Beverly came to its second game of the year (first at Hurd stadium) looking a little flat. But once the team took the field they were ready to play. Beverly won the toss and received the kick. The first play of the game was a 35 crossbuck to pat Bailey for a first down. Beverly then had a long drive, ending up in the N- zone. The extra point by Jared kuziak was inches left. SCORE Beverly 6- saugus 0. Saugus then got the ball and was stopped dead, forcing them to punt. Beverly again drove down to about the 5 and JP Kehoe scored on a 42 crossbuck. The second extra point attempt by Jared was good. SCORE Beverly14- Saugus 0. When Saugus got the ball they had a nice drive but was stopped by the first of 4 interceptions by Bailey (2), J. Micheal, and Jared. After that David jones had a 30 yard run and used an excellent stiff arm to come just shy of a TD. In the next fe! w plays Jeff Jones scored sending Beverly into the half with a 20-0 lead. After the half Beverly kicked off. The Beverly D stopped Saugus yet again and during Bev's next possesion David Jones scored and Beverly led 26-0. Saugus lost the ball again and Jeff Jones found the N zone yet again. Saugus got the ball and had a nice drive down the field. They scored and Beverlys shut out season dream was over. After the Saugus TD the game was ova. But.... JP Kehoe was injured during the game and his status is not known.

Dawgs power over saugas

On the Beverly B teams second game against Saugas they opend up very well starting off with a touch down by pat bailey,we all cheard while pat went the distence.During the 2nd Qurter(or 1st) J Michael Nardella had a outstanding "one handed"catch to make a 1st down.Also during the 2nd Quter jeff jones had a nice touchdown with a sweap to the right,and then after that Jared Kusiak had a great feild goal.On the Black defence dylin kline,dave jones,andrew belmonte,jeff jones,andrew frates, and the rest of the Black Dawgs as i should call them all played great and as a team!.Also the Blue deffence played exselent with pat bailey intersepting a sliding catch to give us the ball,and Bailey had a nice interseption while he jumped in the air.On the black deffence with what they call them self "End Power" Dylin kline and Matt McAniff played great not letting anything past him.
In the 2nd half the B dawgs scored 3 more touch downs by, Dave jones,jeff jines, and jp kehoe.The sagause offence played mighty well on the feild scoring 1 touch down 2 make the score 32-6,But the White offence made a big diffrence on the feild playing really well,"There my white knights"says coach MacNeil.The key players on the white offence at 2days game weer the huch brotheres,roo richardson,andrew frates,and mostly the whole line,they all played great 2day.The final Score of 2days game was 32-6,And now Beverly is 2-0 and is playing S'scott next week at herd at 12.
