Dawgs Crush West Lynn
Bailey off left tackle, Triple J sweeping right, Kline with a pair of sacks, Kuz and J Michael with a couple of picks. Isn't that where we left off last year?? The Beverly B team open the 2001 season with 28-0 win over an out manned West Lynn team. Every time the offense touched the ball they ended up in the end zone. "We where ready to play and they where not it is that simple" said coach Richardson." We are a good team but I'm not sure we are as good as the scored showed today " said coach Nardella. " Lynn just did not have the man power to play with us today. It would off been nice to play the second half and give some more of the newer kids some playing time, but I understand what the Lynn team was feeling" the coach said. Beverly won the toss and took the ball, on the first play Bailey went 25 yards and then Triple J went 20 more for the first score. When Lynn came out on offense "The Kuz" picked off a pass and 2 plays later Triple J was in the zone again. On Lynn next possession Dylan "The Big Dog" Kline sacked the quarterback and caused a fumble. Two plays later Triple J completed his hat trick. On Lynn's next offensive attempt J Michael picked off a pass that lead to Sean Hutchinson first touchdown. Hutch went off tackle for a 40 yard run into the end zone. "That was the highlight of the game for me" said Nardella "Both Hutch boys had big games Steve almost broke one earlier. The Hutch boys and Rew Richardson did most of the ball carrying in the second quarterand ran well. What those three lack in size they make up for in heart, they are the kind of kids that make coaching fun"
