Beverly Pop Warner "C" Team

Beverly Teams Open Against Everett
(September 10, 2000)
The Beverly Pop Warner teams kicked off the 2000 season last Sunday with A, B, C and D teams all losing. The best game of the day however  was the C teams 2-0 lose to Everett.  For the first game of the season the Defense played very well with Nathan Verry recording two sacks. First year player
Patrick Bailey roamed the defensive back field like a pro knocking down two passes and picking off one.   The cousins Nardella and Kline  lead the team
in tackles and showed that they will be a force to be dealt with.  The Offense had it's problems but did show a few signs off life JP Kehoe had a nice 25 yard reverse late in the game to give  the team a much needed lift.  QB Jason Fullerton did a nice job running the team but several offside calls put a halt to any drives the struggling offense could mount. The team is hoping to put a W in the win column this week when they travel to Saugus to take on the always tough Sachems

Patrick Bailey had a huge game
in Beverly's secondary in the
opening day loss to Everett.

John-Paul Kehoe's 25-yard
reverse was one of the few high-
light's of Beverly's offense.
