Kusiak's Long Run Ignites
Beverly "C" Team To Victory
(September 17, 2000)
The Pop Warner "C TEAM " got  a much needed win on Sunday against a young Saugus Team.  Beverly scored on the second play from scrimmage when Jared Kusiak broke one off tackle for 60 yards and the first touchdown of the
season.  Dylan Kline slid over to end and caught the conversion pass from Andrew Frates.  The Beverly" D" came up huge with everyone playing a part. Rob McGinnity played way beyond his size with 3 solo tackles, a fumble recovery and a blocked punt!  Dylan Kline led the team in tackles and had 5 sacks.  The linebacker crop of Kusiak, Nathan Verry, J Nardella and Frates where roaming around looking for bodies to hit controlling the play on the defensive side of the ball.
To start the second half, Beverly scored the first three times they touched the ball with JP Kehoe, Pat Bailey and Jeff Jones all crossing the goal line
for six, and Jason Fullerton throwing to Nardella for another conversion. Eight different players carried the ball with outstanding results, thanks
in large part to the play of the offensive line.  Both offensive lines played great, firing of the ball as a unit and holding their blocks long enough for the army of backs to run wild. The play of Andrew Belmonte, Matt Mcniff, Ben Lawler and Tom Whalen up front was a big reason for the win.
It was a total team effort with everyone chipping in and helping out!
Beverly travels to Swampscott this Sunday to take on the always tough Big
Blue

The A team won 27-6 on touchdowns by Ryan Shairs, Brett Finnegan, Tim Elliott and Derek Silveria. Silveria also added an extra point. Travis Anderson had a 90 yard return on a fumbled extra point attempt by the Sachems.

Tbe B team was downed 21-0 as was the D team by a score of 21-2.
