Beverly Zeros In On Playoffs

Last Sunday was a great day for some football at Hurd stadium. Our team
was excited to play at home for the first time in 4 weeks. We won the toss
and again decided to receive the ball. Triton's onside kick was
unsuccessful, and the orange "O" took possession of the ball on the Triton 45 yard line.  We scored on the third play of the game with a 32 dive to Kuz and he
sprinted into the end zone with blazing speed. The extra point was scored by the
rookie Mat McNiff with the pop pass from Jason Fullerton. The defense then went to work and stopped the Triton offense like a brick wall, and forced them to punt the ball. JP Kehoe went back to receive the punt and returned it for a 60 yard touchdown, made possible by a tremendous block from young J Michael Nardella which allowed JP to cruse into the end zone with ease.
The major set back of the day was when Jared Kusiak injured his arm
giving his all at his defensive position. The whole team stepped up a level
after this tremendous loss of Jared and continued to play scoreless defense,
with major hits by Nathan Verry, J Michael, Dylan Kline and Jason Fullerton.
With Tritons last will they tried to pass but were denied by Sean Mitchell,
and Pat (champ) Bailey. We soon forced Triton to punt once more and the
soon to be legendary JP Kehoe returned the punt again for a touchdown. The great J Michael Nardella threw another crushing block for JP to add on another six points. Andrew Frates and his white "O" went onto the field and ran the
play called "the Dylan special poppass" and Andrew hit the out stretched Kline
for the extra point.
Final score 20-0 Beverly. Game Over. Chalk up another win for the
Beverly Panthers  "C" team.
