The Beverly B-Team succeeds over Swampscott

The whole game started off with a huge kick return from Patrick Bailey for a touchdown. "Bodies were flying everywhere", said coach Nardella. The key to the kickoff though was the flying wedge led by David Jones, Jeff Jones, Dylan Kline, and J. Michael Nardella. After the defense did their part, Andrew Frates led his orange offense to a touchdown scored on a quarterback sneak. Jared Kusiak also did a good job in the first half as a quarterback on the white offense, as well as kicking two extra points. After the defense did a great job again, David Jones scored his second touchdown of the season. The defense continued to do a good job holding the many pass attempts by Swampscott. JJJ then scored another huge touchdown, amazingly his sixth of the season. The defense forced a punt from Swampscott, but was returned by Pat Bailey, which would have been his second touchdown of the game, except was called back because of an offsides penalty. After Swampscott scored their first and only touchdown on a pass play, Nathan Verry had a huge interception, which possibly could have been run back for a touchdown except for one defender that forced Nathan to trip. The score ended: Beverly 28

Swampscott: 6.

Next week is Peabody, who was a very good team last year.
